In our Preschool class we continue to learn the basic social skills in a classroom setting. How to interact with friends, sharing and problem solving, and learning how to LOVE learning. We also continue to work hard on self help skills and independence! I begin to expose my students to more academic skills such as letter sounds and larger numbers in fun, active and engaging ways. Most of the time, they don't even realize they're learning!! Plenty of singing, dancing, and movement.
Our class time is a combination of student led and teacher guided activities. We spend plenty of time doing free choice centers where students are engaged in a variety of activities and games. During this time I work with children one on one to focus on whatever skills they are practicing at that time.
